About the Author

My name is Heleen van de Schraaf, born and raised in the Netherlands and currently living in Leiden. I have studied Computer Science at the University of York and graduated in the summer of 2009 with a Bachelor of Engineering. In October 2010 I will be starting the Master of Science course in Software Engineering at the University of York.
Ever since I was little I’ve been interested in drawing and computers and I really enjoy combining the two. At the moment, when I actually have time, I mostly work on websites, but I’m also working on developing myself a bit further in (computer) art, 2D as well as 3D, and more advanced webdesign. I also enjoy doing all sorts of handcrafting and cooking/baking in my spare time.
I do not have any plans for the future yet, so I’m open to anything.

About the Website

The title is from a latin phrase once spoken by Caesar ‘veni vidi vici’ which means ‘I came, I saw, I conquered’. So… my website’s title means: I came, I saw, I wrote. Which I think is a fairly nice title for a blog/gallery/project website.
To be fair, I was actually looking for the translation of ‘I came, I saw, I drew’, but I couldn’t find a good latin word for drawing, so I just went with writing instead.
